Warren CAT Technician Internship Program
Are you considering a career as an engine technician but not sure how to get started? Career opportunities in construction, agricultural equipment, heavy diesel engine, material handling, and commercial engine fields are rewarding and challenging, and those who can do the work are in high demand. The Warren CAT Technical Internship Program (WCTIP) can help you meet the challenge with training in the specific needs of Warren CAT and Caterpillar®.
Warren CAT – in conjunction with Midland College (Midland, TX), South Plains College (Levelland, TX) and Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (Okmulgee, OK) – has developed the WCTIP, a cooperative two-year college level technician education program leading to an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. This two-year college program combines classroom and hands-on learning, teaching students how to service heavy diesel equipment using cutting-edge diagnostic and maintenance systems, advanced technologies and high-tech tools. No more sitting in class wondering if what you’re learning is relevant; you’ll use everything you learned and know why it’s important.
The purpose of the WCTIP is to upgrade the professional and technical competency of incoming Warren CAT Dealership technicians. Students are trained to analytically diagnose, service and maintain Cat products using recommended procedures, special tools and service information. The course content enables successful graduates to advance as heavy equipment technicians after additional experience and to understand new systems and components as they are introduced.
Warren CAT takes the hiring process seriously. Not only do we make sure you are right for this program, you need to make sure this program is right for you. As a Warren CAT Technician, you’ll work on some of the biggest, hardest-working machines in the world. As a graduate of the WCTIP, you’ll be a highly-skilled, technically-trained, in-demand member of the worldwide Cat dealer family. If you have the right attitude, work ethic, and skills, it’s time you consider your career options with Warren CAT.
