Texas set aside $1.8 billion to help critical community facilities install backup power. If your facility serves public safety or public health, you may qualify for grants and low-cost loans through the Texas Backup Power Package (TBPP).
Funding goes to the facility owner. Awards are competitive, so facilities that move early are best positioned.
Your facility must be under 2.5 MW. Not sure where you fall? We can help you figure it out.
This isn’t a standby generator. A qualifying package combines natural gas or propane generation, battery storage and solar. It must run 48 continuous hours in islanded mode.
We’ll help you understand the program, assess your load and plan a solution built on reliable Cat® equipment.
