Safe Start Every Time
The machine won’t move until you’re in the seat and ready to go. The operator presence monitor keeps the parking brake on and disables hydraulics until everything is set. When you’re traveling, hydraulic lockout keeps your implements from moving while you still have full steering control.

Stay in Control on the Move
As you pick up speed, Speed Sensitive Steering automatically adjusts to keep handling smooth and predictable. If steering pressure drops, the secondary steering system kicks in so you can safely steer the machine to a stop without losing control.

See Clearly, Day or Night
Anti-glare paint helps cut down eye strain when you’re working at night. Add the LED light package, and you’ll have the visibility you need to keep working safely and accurately after the sun goes down.

Easy Access and Built-In Protection
Fuel up from the ground—no climbing required. Walkways, perforated platforms, and grab rails help you keep three points of contact when getting on, off, or around the machine. The slip clutch and optional blade lift accumulators help absorb impacts, protecting the machine and keeping operation smooth and safe.

  • Hydraulic lockout disables all implement functions while still providing machine steering control. Especially useful while roading.
  • Brakes are located at each tandem wheel to eliminate braking loads on the power train. Redundant brake systems utilize accumulators to enable stopping in case of machine failure.
  • Perforated steel tandem walkways and convenient grab rails provide a sturdy platform when moving on, off and around the machine.
  • Standard Circle Drive Slip Clutch protects the standard drawbar, circle and moldboard from shock loads if the blade encounters an immovable object and also reduces the possibility of abrupt directional changes in poor traction conditions. The optional Blade Lift Accumulators help absorb impact loads by allowing vertical blade travel. This optional feature reduces wear and impact loading for enhanced operator safety.

        Cat Grade with 3D for motor graders, also called "mastless," is a machine integrated grade control system that helps you get to grade faster with more accuracy, efficiency, and productivity. Automatic blade control reduces operator inputs and the number of passes to get the job done to save you time and money. E-fence is fully calibrated from the factory.
      2. Cross Slope Assist
        Cross Slope Assist now includes Position Sensing Shift Cylinder (PSC), E-fence Blade Avoidance, and two sensors to simplify mastless upgrades. It allows the operator to manually control one end of the moldboard while the system controls the other.
      3. Attachment Ready Option
        ARO provides sensor-ready swivel mountings for faster aftermarket work tool installation.

Power to the Ground

A new specification is now available on Next Generation Cat® Motor Graders, showing the actual power to the ground performance. Cat updated the power strategy (called Power to the Ground) so the machine now delivers consistent power in every condition – hot or cold weather, heavy or light load. This means the grader feels more stable, more predictable, and easier to control, especially when fine‑grading.
You still get the same real‑world productivity, with smoother operation and better fuel efficiency.

  • Optional High Performance Circle helps eliminate hours of monthly planned maintenance for frequent inspection, wear strip replacement, and circle shoe adjustments associated with conventional circles. The HPC provides a smooth, effortless rotation of blade and assists in meeting road design elevation tolerance.
Sustainability
  • The Cat engine meets U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emission standards.
  • Cat diesel engines are required to use ULSD (ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel with 15 ppm of sulfur or less) or ULSD blended with the following lower-carbon intensity fuels up to: 20% biodiesel FAME (fatty acid methyl ester)* or 100% renewable diesel, HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) and GTL (gas-to-liquid) fuels. Refer to guidelines for successful application. Please consult your Cat dealer or Caterpillar Machine Fluids Recommendations (SEBU6250) for details.
  • Engine Idle Shutdown Timer reduces fuel burn, greenhouse gas emissions and unnecessary idle time by shutting down the machine after a pre-set idling period.
  • Cat® Grade helps reduce fuel burn and greenhouse gas emissions by enabling you to achieve grade faster and more accurately by automating blade actions.
  • Extended maintenance intervals not only reduce downtime but decrease the amount of fluid and filters that are replaced over the life of the machine.
  • VisionLink™ displays the CO2 emissions for monitored assets, calculated by fuel type for the Runtime Fuel Burned each day in a selected date range.
